How information submitted through the SysProtect website is handled.
Who operates this website
Tom Stewart operates the SysProtect website. For questions about this notice or how your personal information is handled, email toms@sysprotect.com.
Overview
SysProtect collects only the information needed to respond to business enquiries and operate this website. The website is not intended to receive or store passwords, credentials, vulnerability reports, customer architecture, security findings or other sensitive project information.
Information you provide
When you use the contact form, we may receive your name, company, email address, selected enquiry topic and the message you choose to send. This information is used to understand and respond to your enquiry. Providing it is voluntary, but we need a name, working email address and enough information to respond.
Why we use your information
We rely on our legitimate interests in answering relevant business enquiries and maintaining a safe website. Where you ask us to take steps before entering into a contract with you, we may also use your information for those steps. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing or make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How enquiries are handled
Contact-form submissions are delivered to SysProtect by email through Resend, which processes the submitted form details to deliver the message. The website does not provide an enquiry dashboard or intentionally retain a separate database copy. Email records are handled by SysProtect in its mailbox. Contact Tom Stewart for information about retention or to request deletion of your enquiry, subject to any applicable legal obligations.
Security and abuse prevention
Basic technical information may be processed temporarily to protect the form and website from spam, automated misuse and excessive requests. This may include an IP address, request timing and browser security headers. These controls are used for website security and are not used to create marketing profiles.
Service providers and sharing
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and supports its security controls. It processes website requests, including technical information such as IP addresses. Resend handles contact-form email delivery and processes the details you submit. Personal information is not sold. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. You can read the Cloudflare privacy policy and Resend privacy policy for information about these providers.
Cookies and browser settings
The website application does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Its light and dark appearance control changes the display during your visit without saving that choice in persistent browser storage. Cloudflare may use technical security controls when delivering the website; any additional cookies or tracking services introduced later must be disclosed and, where required, enabled only after your consent.
International processing
Cloudflare and Resend may process information outside the United Kingdom. Contact Tom Stewart for information about the processing locations and safeguards applicable to your enquiry.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability where that right applies. To make a privacy request, contact Tom Stewart at toms@sysprotect.com.
Questions and complaints
Please contact Tom Stewart first if you have a concern about your information. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
